Obamacare will hurt many people if the Canadian stories are to be our example, but one group will be hit very hard: Seniors. A majority of this group lives on a fixed income and many rely on Medicare to keep up with their healthcare. Obamacare jeopardizes Medicares existence. Now many people including the politicians will come back with the fact that Medicare is going bankrupt. But Obamacare will hurt the one part of the program that is doing what it was meant to and is showing very good budget cuts: the prescription area. But the other problem is that as healthcare gets rationed, the people who will suffer the most will be the Seniors, those who need it the most and they will no longer have the option of Medicare. And then they will be at a loss. In addition, one way they are looking to cut costs in Medicare to pay for Obamacare is to take away some of the reimbursements to doctors and hospitals who are currently in Medicare. Many doctors now won’t see more than a certain number of Medicare patients because they don’t get paid in a timely fashion, so these reimbursements being taken away will force many doctors to cut the number of Medicare patients they see even more or they will not accept more. This will effectively destroy the choices for Seniors on Medicare and on the private Medicare Healthcare programs. Saving Medicare, and truly saving it, fixing it to run efficiently might give us better insight into how to fix the Healthcare problems, they are similar.
In addition to destroying Medicare, Grace-Marie Turner from the Washinton Examiner wrote an article laying out the 6 worst flaws of Obamacare:
1 A mandate that individuals purchase insurance.
2 A “pay-or-play” mandate for employers.
3 A uniform, government-defined benefits package.
4 A national health insurance Exchange.
5 Comparative-effectiveness research.
6 A new, government-run health insurance plan.
Number one means that everyone would be required to have healthcare and it would be government run, government priced etc, the government would have full control of the healthcare system. Number two means that Employers will either have to choose an insurance group for their employees, or pay a tax. Next, you would no longer get to choose what all was in your insurance plan and no longer had a choice to fit the plan to your wants and needs. The government would decide for you, a minimum would be required. Number four would destroy innovation and choice in the healthcare industry, creating an industry where the government controls it all and the choice of the citizen no longer matters. Research now is payed for by companies and the government and controlled by scientists, researchers and outside companies but under Obamacare the government beauracrats would run it and the red-tape we all hate would damage that research. The last one is the kicker. Government would run it, we have seen how great government run programs have done in the past, from bankruptcy to scandal and such. The government and its red tape controls enough areas of our lives, and now they will tell you what doctors you can see, when you can go, how much you will pay, etc. And no matter what Obama tells you now, Obamacare will destroy the private insurance industry and everyone will be forced to use Obamacare such is the way of a free market. But I know I do not want Obamacare.

Welcome Claire. You have no idea how much we need someone who will hear us.
We are getting all the information on these take overs, the destruction of our American system
but we need some guidance on how to make our voices heard.
A massive petition with thousands of signatures would probably be a start. I went to a tea party
in Sacramento, CA it was the very first time I ever came that close to a demonstration, it was great and very inspiring. Are there others on the make soon?
